THIS IS A GUIDE TO REGISTERING YOUR PROPERTY AS A LOCATION WITH LAVISH.
If you wish to be registered we will need to see photos of your location. Please send your images to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
If you are considering registering your property as a location you have come to the right place - our library is the starting point for any location professional seeking a residential location for filming or stills photography.
You have two options regarding the photographs of your property:
You can either send us a disc of your images and your full address by post or email them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com Please make sure that you supply us with the address, contact details and any other useful information about the property.
Alternatively you may commission our professional interiors photographer (at a charge agreed wtih us, usually £150) to take high calibre pictures of your property for use on our website.
PHOTOGRAPHING YOUR PROPERTY
You should use a digital camera and take photos in natural daylight. Do not use any wide angled lenses or mis-represent your property in any way. However, unless clutter is a particular feature of your interior style, then do take photographs that show your property to its best advantage.
Make sure that it is clean and tidy and put away any items which you will not wish to be available for filming. Take photographs of all the rooms that you can make available for filming or photo shoots. It is helpful to take them in the order in which you are likely to view a property. Start with a good shot of the front exterior and then work your way through the house including the hallway, stairs and landing. Finally take some shots of the rear of the house, garden and any special external features such as pools, lakes or outbuildings. When photographing a room, ensure that the shot provides a good impression of the whole room and then include any special features that you have, for example a piano, a fireplace or special window.
Please take time to look at some existing properties on our website to get a feel for the type of shots taken.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
We review registrations once a month and will contact you accordingly to let you know if your property will be registered. Please do not be offended if we decline your location - we often turn down beautiful properties because they are not in the right area (most filming is conducted within 50 miles of London), they are too small, or simply they are too similar to other properties that we already have on our books.
If we do want to represent your property then we will send you our terms and conditions for signing and returning to us. This sets out what we will do for you (display your location on our website, negotiate fees and contracts), what we will charge (commission based on your overall location fee), and how and when you will be paid.
Once we have received this back then your location will go live on our website and will be available for viewing.
